How the calculation works

Document with bleed = trim dimension + 2 × bleed. Safe area = trim dimension − 2 × margin. Required pixels = millimetres ÷ 25.4 × PPI, rounded up.

Resolution assumes an image covering the entire document including bleed. PPI is not printer DPI. Confirm the target and bleed for the material, process and viewing distance.
